Food and Wine Matching
Forget that old chestnut about drinking only red wine with red meat and white wine with poultry and fish. These days, the trick to finding a food and wine match made in heaven is to consider what accompanies the protein component on your plate and then to look for similarities, not contrasts. Think of this process as searching for a flavour hook – some component of the wine which complements one or more flavour characteristics of the food.
But remember that the best match of all is good food, good wine and good company, and that friends and loved ones are by far the most important ingredients.

Fish Tail Wines
 A fun place to taste a selection of Perths famous Swan Valley wines at our family owned and operated vineyard and cellar door. We will help you choose the wine that best suits your palate while you soak up the serenity of our beautiful 17 acre vineyard in the Swan Valley - just 30 minutes from the City of Perth.
We offer an extensive range of wines which are all named after - you guessed it - FISH!! Our signature wine is called "Pink Salmon" (a rose style made from Merlot grapes). We picked up 4 Bronze Medals at the 2007 Swan Valley Wine Show.

Lancaster Wines
Lancaster Wines is located in the Swan Valley, just 20 minutes from the centre of Perth. Boasting some of the oldest vines in the Swan Valley, Lancaster produces outstanding wines including Chenin Blanc, Verdelho, Chardonnay, Rose, the legendary Old Vines Shiraz as well as the beautiful dessert wine - Late Picked Chenin.
Come and take a spot at the bar of Lancaster’s famous outdoor tasting shed and enjoy premium wines and a gourmet selection of local cheeses with friendly service in a casual relaxed atmosphere with a great vibe.

Lamont's winery has an annual production of 12, 000 cases. Casual dining is available in our alfesco area with the cellar door kitchen serving tapas food on Saturday and Sunday. Artisan cheeses are available Monday to Friday. Meet the winemaker by appointment, with private tastings available. Enjoy sparkling wine and regional foods including Swan Valley marron, Gidgegannup goats cheese and local olive oil.

Sittella Winery & Cafe
 The most modern winemaking techniques are employed at this stunning new winery which overlooks landscaped gardens and the vineyard. Sittella produces premium wines which combine the traditonal values of quality and taste with the latest winemaking techniques. Taste the wines or relax with a glass or two on the verandah or in the magnificent wine studio.
Imaginative architectural work has brought together artistic qualities and practical spaces in a splendid earth-rendered winery and cafe that has become another 'jewel' of the Swan Valley. Duckstein Brewery
 Visit a little piece of Germany in the heart of the Swan Valley. The Duckstein Brewery follows the old German tradition in beer brewing where boutique beer is brewed on site strictly in accordance to the German Purity Law. The brewery takes centre stage in the Bavarian-style restaurant. Enjoy traditional german food or relax having a tankard of beer or coffee and cake in the Beer garden listening to German music. We also have a small range of wines and champagnes.
