Roasted Cinnamon Macadamias
Creator - Elizabeth Davey from Bell Park Victoria
Winner of a Gonuts Basket of goodies.
Ingredients:
- 1 large egg white
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Tiny pinch of nutmeg
- 2 drops of orange extract (if desired)
- 1 1 cups small macadamia nuts
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 165 degrees celcius
- Line baking sheet with paper
- In a large bowl, use a whisk to mix all ingredients except the nuts until smooth.
- Pour in the nuts and stir to coat well.
- Grab handfuls of nuts, let excess syrup fall back into the bowl from between your fingers
- Spread nuts on baking tray
- Bake in oven for about 20 mins.
Save them... if you can... for a cold winter's night .
