Perth Schools

Your children are just as important as your home and career choices. That is why Perth schools offer exceptional quality educational opportunities for all age groups.

Kindergarten

The kindergarten programs at Perth are provided for children who are at least four years of age by June 30th of the respective school year. The programs are offered at various times, which collectively are equal to four, half-day sessions per week. The structure of the programmers may vary, as each government school sets its own schedule, such as two half days and one full day, or two full days on Tuesdays and Thursdays, for example.

Pre-Primary

The pre-primary instruction is provided for children who are at least five years of age by June 30th of the respective school year. Students at the pre-primary level will attend school for five days each week. The large majority of pre-primary programmers are provided at the school site.

Preparing to attend a University

When a student reaches secondary school, he or she must choose to continue forward into a University, a trade school, or end their formal education. Those at the senior level of secondary school who wish to attend a University must select four TEE (Tertiary Entrance Examination) subjects. These subjects are covered through examinations, assignments, and class work. They contribute to the overall students TER.

The majority of schools will offer year 11 and 12 students a combination of both TER and TEE courses. Some schools, however, focus on vocational training while others focus on University preparation.
